Job summary

U-Haul in Kalispell, MT is seeking a customer-focused location associate to assist customers with products and services, operate U-Scan rentals, and prepare invoices. You will move and hook up trucks, inspect equipment, and ensure safety standards are met on the lot.

The role includes certifications for propane and forklift, ongoing training through U-Haul University, and a commitment to excellent service. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift certification (offered through U-Haul upon employment).
• Propane certification (offered through U-Haul upon employment).

• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot including checking fluid levels.
• Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment).
• Drive a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment).
• Other duties as assigned.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
