Job summary

Pries Enterprises is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Independence, Iowa to serve as the key link between customers and production. You will ensure quotes are accurate, orders are produced on schedule, and deliveries meet commitments.

The role emphasizes customer focus, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will communicate professionally by phone and email and collaborate with Sales, Production, Quality, Shipping.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer orders from PO through delivery and update status.
• Organize incoming orders and prioritize requests based on schedules.
• Prepare quotes for new orders and communicate pricing accurately.
• Coordinate returns and concerns with Quality and other teams.
• Enter and maintain customer data in the ERP system.
• Work with Sales, Production, Quality, Shipping to resolve issues.

Customer Service Representative

Pries Enterprises is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our growing team in Independence, Iowa! In this role, you will be an important link between our customers and our production team, helping ensure orders are quoted accurately, communicated clearly, produced on schedule, and delivered as promised.

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. If you enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and making sure the details are taken care of, we’d love to hear from you!

What You'll Do

• Manage customer orders from purchase order through delivery, keeping customers informed throughout the process.




• Organize incoming orders and prioritize customer requests based on production schedules and customer needs.




• Prepare quotes for new orders and production runs and communicate pricing accurately to customers.




• Coordinate product returns, customer concerns, and complaints with the Quality Department and other internal teams.




• Establish and communicate ship dates while monitoring production schedules and order status.




• Enter and maintain accurate customer and order information within our ERP system




• Navigate order entry, order status, customer data, and part information within the ERP system.




• Develop a basic understanding of aluminum extrusion drawings and Pries die prints to better support customers and production.




• Communicate professionally and effectively with customers through phone calls and email.




• Work closely with Sales, Production, Quality, Shipping, and other departments to resolve issues and keep orders moving.




• Provide a high level of customer service while looking for opportunities to improve processes and the customer experience.

What We're Looking For

• 1–2 years of customer service, account support, order management, or related experience preferred.




• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.




• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate information.




• Ability to handle customer complaints and concerns with professionalism, patience, and a solution-focused attitude.




• Strong time-management and prioritization skills.




• Ability to manage multiple orders and requests while meeting deadlines.




• Comfortable learning and navigating ERP systems and other computer software.




• Ability to understand technical information and learn basic manufacturing terminology, drawings, and die prints.




• A customer-first mindset and a desire to provide exceptional service.




• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Schedule & Compensation

• Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–4:00 PM




• Some overtime may be required based on production schedules and workload.




• Hourly or Salary-based position




• Compensation based on experience, with a minimum equivalent of $20.00 per hour
