Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter orders and shipment details; monitor progress for timely delivery and prepare documentation.
  • Coordinate with port personnel, operations, brokers, and customers on accounts and shipments.
  • Act as main contact for customers on order status and shipment tracking; resolve issues promptly.
  • Contribute to process improvements while upholding company values.
  • Perform additional duties as needed in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

General Description Of Position

As a Customer Service Representative, you’ll support Lightning Transportation by coordinating orders, tracking shipments, resolving issues, and maintaining strong customer relationships for timely delivery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Accurately enter customer orders and shipment details into Truckmate, monitor progress for timely delivery, and prepare uptodate documentation including bills of lading, shipping confirmations, and customs forms.
  • Coordinate with port personnel, operations, and websites to track shipments while collaborating with internal staff, brokers, and customers on accounts and shipments.
  • Act as the main contact for customers on order status and shipment tracking, promptly resolving any delivery or service issues.
  • Implement EOS within your position to enhance your skills and productivity while continually promoting the company’s core values.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed, while taking initiative, prioritizing tasks, learning quickly, and owning projects in a fastpaced, teamoriented environment.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL, YOU SHOULD HAVE
  • Two years of intermodal customer service experience and TruckMate knowledge are preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Lifting/pushing/pulling less than 25lbs.
  • Office setting with temperaturecontrolled offices with moderate noise levels.
  • Outside work is limited.
