Job summary

Veritiv Corporation in Illinois offers a hybrid Customer Service Representative role based out of our Lockport office. You will ensure a high-touch customer experience, proactive communication, and timely resolution of orders and inquiries.

The role requires handling complex orders, SAP experience, and collaboration with Sales and internal teams. We emphasize customer satisfaction, multi-tasking under deadlines, and a supportive culture with extensive training, benefits, and career development

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of related experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Enter customer orders accurately into SAP and follow up via phone, email, or fax.
• Support inventory control by reviewing historical data and managing stock levels during order processing.
• Provide internal support to Outside Sales Representatives and assist with sales initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve customer issues efficiently.
• Review customer purchase orders and contracts for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare quotes, proposals, and generate leads for potential accounts.
• Manage customer complaints and coordinate returns/replacements of defective parts.
• Process order modifications and communicate changes to ensure satisfaction.

HYBRID ROLE BASED OUT OF OUR LOCKPORT OFFICE

Job Purpose:

Our Customer Service Representative will be responsible for providing outstanding high-touch service to our customers and will oversee their experience with our company. This role will provide our customers with proactive communication, follow through, and a speedy resolution to their questions, orders, quotes, and all other inquiries.

Job Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter customer orders into the SAP system and provide timely follow-up via phone, email, fax, or through Sales Representatives.
• Support inventory control by reviewing historical data and assisting in managing stock levels during order processing.
• Provide internal support to Outside Sales Representatives and assist with sales initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal departments and other divisions to resolve customer issues efficiently.
• Review customer purchase orders and contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare customer quotes, sample requests, formal proposals, and generate sales leads for potential accounts.
• Manage customer complaints related to product use, including coordinating returns and replacements of defective parts.
• Process order modifications and communicate changes to ensure customer satisfaction.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Proven experience handling complex orders under tight deadlines.
• SAP Experience.

Salary: $53,100 - $72,800 annually

Work Experience:

• 1-3 years of related job experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Education:

• High School Diploma/GED
