Job summary

Get Fresh Produce, established in 1982 in Chicago, is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Customer Service Associate to be the first point of contact for customers by phone, email or order submissions. The role focuses on delivering exceptional service, processing orders, and resolving issues to ensure a positive shopping experience.

You will handle inquiries, track deliveries, process returns in the system, and collaborate with team members to share weekly specials.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service handling calls and emails.
• Ability to process orders via multiple channels (phone, fax, email).
• Strong written and spoken English; bilingual Spanish/English a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and organization.
• Comfort with processing returns and credits online.

Get Fresh Produce was established in 1982 in Chicago as a retail store that specialized in premium fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy, and specialty foods. It has a team of amazing professionals who are experts in sales, customer service, procurement, and operations. Every year, Get Fresh Produce distributes over 13 million cases to 3,000 customers.

As a member of the Customer Service team, you will be the first point of contact for our customers when they call, email or send an order to us. Our Customer Service team is responsible for delivering the best customer experience that our customers have come to expect from us. We are looking for someone who is outgoing, self-motivated, and has excellent interpersonal skills to join our team.

Essential Functions:

• Answering and directing calls in a professional manner
• Process orders received via phone, fax, and email
• Provide customers with product and service information

Work Schedule:

• Monday to Sunday with Saturdays and 1 day off during the week
• Hours are 9:30am-6:00pm
• 40 hours per week, some OT maybe required

Compensation:

• Hourly rate $18.00-$19.00 based on experience
