Job summary

Dacotah Bank in Aberdeen, SD seeks a Customer Service Representative to assist customers with routine banking transactions and inquiries. The role emphasizes accurate cash handling, relationship development, and cross-selling products to meet client needs.

Qualified candidates are organized, self-motivated, and capable of delivering exceptional service. Excellent interpersonal communication is required, with on-site work schedule Monday–Friday and rotating Saturdays in Aberdeen.

Qualifications

• Experience with banking products and consumer deposits is preferred.
• Cash handling, sales and customer service experience.
• Strong communication, in-person and phone skills.
• Detail-oriented with willingness to learn banking software.

Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative (CSR) at Dacotah Bank, you connect with our customers to build trusted relationships and help them achieve their financial goals. In this role, you will be assisting customers with general banking transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and inquiries. Our Customer Service Representative’s also receive useful skills and development on the job, allowing them to promote to higher levels and complete more complex activities such as opening and maintaining deposit accounts for consumers and businesses. The ideal candidate is someone who is organized, self-motivated and productive, having a high level of attention to detail and, most importantly, can provide exceptional customer service to our customers.

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

• The ideal candidate should possess an intermediate level of bank product knowledge, with experience in consumer deposit account opening
• Ability to recognize and act upon referral opportunities and recommend additional products/services of value to customers
• Cash handling, customer service, sales, and/or banking experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills; able to communicate both in person and over the phone
• Detail-oriented and thorough, with a focus on accuracy
• Self-motivated, with an aptitude & willingness to learn and utilize various software applications
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma/GED required (Associate degree in a business-related field preferred)

Schedule: Dacotah Bank Offers a flexible work-life balance working schedule. Our working hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with a rotating Saturday shift schedule in Aberdeen!
