Job summary

Security First Bank is seeking a Customer Service Representative to support daily banking needs for customers and prospects in Spearfish, SD. You will handle transactions, answer questions, and guide clients on bank products and services with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.

Day shift, full-time position requiring a High School diploma and strong customer service skills. Prior cash handling is preferred, and you will work with confidential information in a professional setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–12 months cash-handling or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of accounting procedures.
• Familiarity with office equipment and standard computer applications.
• Strong customer service skills and a genuine interest in working with the public.
• Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Process customer financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, ACH, and wire requests.
• Maintain accurate customer records by posting transactions, completing account maintenance, and opening new accounts.
• Provide customer support in person and by phone, assisting with inquiries, problem resolution, and online banking questions.
• Balance cash drawer and reconcile daily work to ensure accuracy.
• Research transaction discrepancies or missing items as needed.
• Review reports to ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Promote bank products and make referrals to appropriate departments.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and perform additional duties as assigned.
