Job Description
Responsible for product preparation, order taking (telephone and in‑person), inventory management, equipment maintenance, and customer service. Work within a 24/7 dynamic environment, handling cash transactions and performing physical tasks such as stocking, lifting and loading deliveries, and operating kitchen equipment.
Responsibilities
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product and receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Maintain accurate monetary change and handle cash transactions.
- Communicate with customers and co‑workers verbally and over the phone.
- Operate delivery and in‑store equipment safely.
Qualifications
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
- Good verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
- Motor coordination and manual dexterity for rapid and precise movements.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, walk on varied surfaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to use a computer, telephone, and other store equipment.
Physical Requirements
- Standing: Most tasks performed from a standing position; surfaces include ceramic tile or linoleum.
- Walking: Normal office tasks performed at a desk or table.
- Lifting and Carrying: Bulk product deliveries up to 50 lbs, cases, large cans, pizza sauce up to 30 lbs, and dough trays (≈12 lbs each) over short distances.
- Push/Pull: Trays on dollies up to 30 in, requiring up to 7.5 lb force.
- Climbing and Bending: Occasionally navigate stairs or ladders, bend at the waist for assembly, and perform forward bending at counter.
- Reaching: Reach above 72 in to operate ovens and adjust shelving.
- Hand Tasks: Frequent use of forearms, wrists, and fine motor skills for handling dough, pizza cutters, and boxes.
- Machines/Tools: Use of computers, telephones, calculators, and kitchen tools.
