Job Description
Customer Service Representative
Responsibilities include stocking ingredients, processing telephone orders, maintaining inventory, and daily cleaning of equipment and facility. Training will be provided on the job. You will also support general store operations and assist customers both in person and over the phone.
Key Duties
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk‑in cooler.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
- Operate computer or touch screen to enter orders.
- Provide excellent verbal, written, and telephone customer service.
- Perform counting, change‑making, and basic math accurately.
Training
Orientation and training provided on the job.
Communication Skills
Understand and give written instructions; communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers.
Essential Functions / Skills
- Basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Accurately handle monetary change.
- Quick motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Job Requirements
You must be 16 years of age or older.
Work Conditions
- Varying and sometimes adverse weather when performing outdoor tasks.
- Store temperatures range from 36 °F in cooler to 90 °F+ in some work areas.
- Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, and fumes.
- Hard surfaces, hot equipment up to 500 °F, moving mechanical parts, sharp edges.
- Short or long duration tasks involving standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, bending, crouching, squatting, reaching, and fine hand tasks.
Physical & Health Requirements
- Standing: most tasks performed standing; work surfaces height 36–48 in.
- Walking: normal office desktop or table.
- Lifting: bulk deliveries up to 50 lb; cases stacked up to 72 in high.
- Carrying: large cans (~3 lb), sauce (30 lb), dough trays (12 lb each).
- Pushing & pulling: dollies up to 30 lb, forces up to 7.5 lb.
- Climbing: stairs or ladder to change signs or perform maintenance.
- Bending: up to 30–45 seconds at a time, repeated.
- Squatting & crouching: occasional for stocking shelves and cleaning low areas.
- Reaching: above 72 in and below for lower tasks.
- Fine hand coordination for dough shaping, pizza peel, cutter, box assembly.
Equipment and Tools
Use of pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, pizza cutter, pizza peel, rolling cutter, and other store tools.
