Job summary

Eastern Michigan Agencies, Inc. in St. Clair Shores, MI, is seeking a Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative to serve as the primary contact for commercial clients.

You will manage renewals, endorsements and billing, coordinating with producers and underwriters to protect client interests. The ideal candidate holds a Michigan Property & Casualty license, has 3+ years of experience in commercial accounts, and is proficient in agency management software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license for the state of Michigan.
• Three or more years of experience managing commercial insurance accounts.
• Strong command of agency management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Clear and professional communication skills, both in writing and over the phone.
• Knowledge of insurance carrier portals and industry-standard filing practices.
• Understanding of commercial coverage forms and policy structures.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for our commercial clients, addressing their questions and policy needs with patience and care.
• Manage policy renewals, endorsements, and audits to ensure our clients remain properly protected throughout their business lifecycle.
• Collaborate with our producers to prepare insurance applications and gather necessary documentation for new and existing accounts.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within our agency management system to ensure seamless service for the entire team.
• Resolve client billing inquiries and handle certificates of insurance with precision and efficiency.
• Advocate for the client by coordinating with underwriters and insurance carriers to find solutions that align with their specific business goals.
