Job summary

Specialty Building Products in Lancaster, TX is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our VALUES based organization. This role will be based at our Lancaster Door Shop and will involve fielding inbound sales calls, pricing inquiries, order placement, scheduling deliveries, and coordinating with the outside sales team to maximize opportunities.

You will build relationships with retail and big box customers, respond with accuracy and speed, and maintain strong knowledge of product

Qualifications

• 2–4 years sales experience, building industry experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills including service-oriented telephone manners.
• Self-starter, pro-active and able to take initiative.
• Attention to detail and highly motivated; able to manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of business and selling principles; strong negotiation skills.
• Must be computer literate: Word, Excel, Outlook; strong organizational skills.
• Basic math and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound and outbound sales inquiries to provide pricing and product information.
• Execute plans with Outside sales; assist with order placement and delivery scheduling.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure timely deliveries and follow-ups.
• Inform customers of pricing, shipping dates, delays, and updates.
• Other duties as assigned by management; stay aware of industry trends.

D.W. Distribution an SBP company, is currently looking for a Customer Service Rep to join our VALUES based organization. This role will be based out of our Lancaster, TX Door Shop. In this role you will:

Field inbound sales calls, communicate and build relationships with our retail and big box customers, respond to requests for prices and quotations, administer complaints, scheduling of deliveries, and providing customer follow-ups. Placement of orders and correspondence with our operations department. Partner with the outside sales team to ensure sales efforts are maximized and opportunities revealed.

Responsibilities And Essential Functions

• Receive incoming and outgoing calls related to sales inquiries for new and established customers to provide pricing and availability, as well as information about our products and distribution services.
• Execute strategic plans in coordination with Outside sales, network with customer inquiries regarding product selection, placement of orders, requests for prices and quotations, complaints and scheduling of deliveries, and providing customer follow-ups to ensure customer needs are met.
• Inform customer of unit pricing, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information requested by the customer
• Other duties, as assigned and requested by management
• Market Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics within the retail sector.

Required Credentials

• High school diploma with a 2-year degree preferred
• 2-4 years sales experience, building industry experience preferred
