Job summary

externallincarecareers is seeking a detail-oriented team member to support customer interactions in a healthcare setting. You will handle inbound and outbound calls, determine additional product/service needs, and educate customers while ensuring compliance with physician directions.

The role requires reading patient orders, understanding prescription terminology, documenting calls, entering orders, and updating demographic data.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience and/or training.
• Computer entry is required.
• Must meet licensing requirements for the specific location.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with customers via inbound and outbound calls and outbound calls generated by an automated dialer system.
• Assesses customer needs for additional products/services and education about products/services.
• Documents calls in a computerized record-keeping system and enters customer orders.
• Verifies and updates demographic information in computerized records.
• Reads and analyzes patient orders and understands pharmacy prescription terminology.
• Assists with training of employees and supports coworker communication.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Communicates with customers via inbound and outbound manual calls and outbound calls generated via automated dialer system
• Assesses customer need for additional products/services
• Assesses customer compliance with physician orders
• Answers questions and provides customer education regarding products/services
• Documents calls in computerized record keeping system
• Enters customer orders in computerized system
• Verifies and updates demographic information such as address and telephone number in computerized records

• Comprehend pharmacy prescription terminology
• Effectively communicate with coworkers and patients alike

Education & Experience:

• High SchoolDiploma, General Education Diploma (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training
