Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a friendly Customer Service Representative in Abilene, TX to be the face of our services. You will assist customers inside and outside the center, use U-Scan tech to manage rentals, move and hook up trucks, inspect equipment, and educate customers on products and services.

The position is part-time with pay at $14 per hour and evening shifts available. We offer on-the-job training, opportunities for advancement, and a comprehensive benefits package where eligible, including

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to obtain offered certifications (hitches, propane, forklift).

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot and check fluid levels.
• Answer questions and educate customers about products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and process equipment returns.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane (certification offered through U-Haul).
• Drive a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul).
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
