Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Charlotte, NC to be the friendly face of our services. You will assist customers, manage rentals with U-Scan, and help with moving, hooking up, and inspecting equipment.

Responsibilities include processing invoices, educating customers on products, and performing safety tasks such as hitch installations and propane handling. Training and certification opportunities are provided, with multiple bonuses for early achievement.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot including checking fluid levels.
• Explain products and services to customers.
• Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment).
• Drive a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment).
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
