Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to assist customers with home improvement needs and product selection across store departments. You will welcome customers, locate items, and ensure orders and deliveries are accurate and on time.

The role involves heavy customer interaction, physical tasks like stocking and lifting, and potential cross-training in other store areas to enhance service quality. Bilingual skills are valued.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience using a computer and basic data tasks.
• 6 months experience with common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets.
• Reading, writing and performing basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand, sit, and perform job duties as required.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or more with or without accommodation.
• 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
• Bi-lingual skills encouraged.
• Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, lumber/building materials).

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to Lowe's, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
• Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise
• Down stock merchandise by looking for empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies
• Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time
• Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service
• Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds)
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout
• Complete other duties as assigned
