Job summary

Ted Pella, Inc. is seeking an Associate Customer Service Representative or Customer Service Representative to join a dynamic call-center style team.

You will respond to customer requests, assist with pricing, availability, delivery, and shipping costs, and manage orders from processing to documentation. Responsibilities include entering orders, preparing acknowledgments, communicating with customers, and coordinating with internal departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college coursework preferred.
• 1 year minimum in office-based customer service; 2 years for the higher level role.
• Excellent customer interaction, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Typing at least 40 wpm with recent typing certificate and 10-key by touch.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and attention to detail.
• Clear English communication both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders via web, email, fax, and phone.
• Enter orders accurately into the software system.
• Prepare order acknowledgments and packing slips with pricing, availability, and shipping costs.
• Interact with customers via email and phone to manage order fulfillment.
• Complete Sales Order documentation including bill-to, ship-to, and contact details.
• Prepare Sales Order Acknowledgment and send to customers.
• Expedite ordered items with purchasing when needed.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve customer issues.
• Respond to follow-up questions on orders and back orders.
• Prepare additional shipment paperwork as required and perform other duties as assigned.
