Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a customer-focused associate to stock, display merchandise, and assist shoppers on the floor. You will unload trucks, set up planograms, rotate stock, and help customers locate items.

You will also operate the register, process payments, and bag purchases, while maintaining store cleanliness and supporting seasonal sidewalk displays as needed. High school diploma preferred; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing role requiring clear communication.
• Knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to read plan-o-grams and merchandise guidance.
• Understanding of basic cash handling procedures.

• Experience using IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise in the store.
• Receive, unpack, and store or display items as directed.
• Create and maintain merchandise displays and planograms.
• Stock, rotate, and face merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise and assist customers in locating products.
• Operate cash register, total purchases, and bag items.
• Collect payment and provide correct change to customers.
• Assist with ordering using handheld scanners when needed.
• Keep front end clean and support sidewalk displays when required.
