Job summary

Linde is seeking a field service professional in Georgia to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair cryogenic systems across the Greater Atlanta area. The role requires operating in diverse weather, travel within the territory, and providing remote support as needed.

You will interpret drawings and documents, perform installations and electrical troubleshooting, and maintain strong safety standards while collaborating with sales reps, contractors, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in maintenance, installation, or repair of mechanical/electrical systems preferred; entry-level considered with aptitude.
• Strong technical aptitude with Microsoft Office, mobile devices, and data-entry equipment.
• Ability to learn new software, equipment, and maintenance systems quickly.

Responsibilities

• Operate cryogenic systems, including pumps and refrigeration equipment, and perform leak repairs.
• Troubleshoot, inspect, maintain, and repair cryogenic installations and regulators, valves, and pressure relief devices.
• Read and interpret drawings, P&IDs, and materials-of-construction documentation.
• Service and diagnose components and perform pipefitting, system installation, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Provide remote support for Northern and Central Georgia, with focus on Greater Atlanta area.
• Maintain professional communications with customers, sales reps, contractors, management and internal teams.
• Complete required training and certifications at the company’s National Training Center.
• Support and promote safety culture, working collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• You will use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, internet search tools, smartphones, tablets, and handheld data-entry devices
• Work 8–12 hour days outdoors in all weather conditions and participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation unless scheduled off
• Travel daily throughout assigned territory, with occasional overnight travel required
• Safely operate a company service vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Independently plan, prioritize, and manage daily and weekly workloads based on work orders, schedules, and customer needs
• Provide remote support coverage for Northern and Central Georgia, with a primary focus on the Greater Atlanta area
• Maintain professional communication with customers, sales representatives, contractors, management, and internal teams
• Follow written and verbal instructions, company policies, safety procedures, and maintenance standards
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and materials‑of‑construction documentation
• Troubleshoot, inspect, maintain, and repair cryogenic systems, including pumps, refrigeration equipment, and leak repairs
• Perform pipefitting, system installation, and electrical troubleshooting activities
• Service and diagnose regulators, solenoids, check valves, manual and automatic valves, pressure relief devices, and rupture discs
• Complete required technical training and certification programs at the company’s National Training Center
• Support and promote a strong safety culture while working collaboratively as part of a team

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of experience in maintenance, installation, or repair of mechanical and electrical systems preferred; entry‑level candidates with relevant skills and aptitude will be considered
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn and effectively use Microsoft Office applications, mobile devices, handheld data‑entry equipment, and other job‑related technology
• Ability to quickly learn new software, equipment, and maintenance systems
• Refrigeration, HVAC, or cryogenic systems experience preferred but not required
• Welding and/or brazing experience preferred but not required
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills in mechanical and electrical environments
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
