Job summary

Linde Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Maintenance Technician in Ohio to plan and perform installation, maintenance, overhauls, and inspections of industrial mechanical and rotating systems such as compressors, turbines, pumps, motors, gearboxes, heat exchangers, and cooling towers.

The role emphasizes preventive and predictive maintenance, accurate documentation in the enterprise asset management system, and hands-on field and plant work.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience maintaining mechanical and rotating systems in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with installation, troubleshooting, inspection, and repairs of compressors, turbines, blowers and heat exchangers.
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methods for industrial equipment.
  • Able to perform precision alignment on multi-train equipment with accuracy.
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping capabilities; proficient in computers and CMMS/EAM systems.
  • Understanding of regulatory and industrial standards; journeyman/apprenticeship is a valuable asset.
  • Experience with vibration analysis and dynamic balancing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and perform installation, maintenance, overhauls, and inspections of industrial rotating equipment.
  • Support and maintain water treatment systems, piping, and related process equipment to ensure reliable operation.
  • Assist in turnaround planning and cost estimation for mechanical work; identify and resolve asset concerns.
  • Conduct periodic inspection and maintenance of plant equipment; support root cause analysis for major failures.
  • Document all maintenance activities in the EAM system and uphold predictive maintenance programs.
  • Work independently to make technical decisions and elevate safety concerns as needed.
  • Perform office and field work, including access to elevated equipment using ladders, scaffolding, and lifts.
  • Contribute to a safety-focused environment and compliance with operational standards.

Job description

  • Additionally show strong documentation and record keeping capabilities along with proficiency in computers, standard software packages, and the computerized maintenance management system
  • Furthermore bring understanding of regulatory and industrial standards and codes, with completion of a machinist or millwright apprenticeship program considered a valuable asset
  • Lastly offer hands on experience in vibration analysis and dynamic balancing and familiarity with the enterprise asset management system

Pay commensurate with experience. Open to salary range $40,500 - $59,400
