Qualifications

• Minimum two years of management or supervisory experience in grocery retail.
• Demonstrated experience leading employees and delivering a strong customer experience.
• Experience with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, or onboarding preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with customers, candidates, employees, and department leaders.
• Ability to provide clear direction, coach employees, and hold the team accountable.
• Sound judgment and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to service and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operation of the Front End and customer-service areas.
• Create a welcoming, friendly, and efficient experience for every customer.
• Set clear service expectations and coach employees to meet them.
• Maintain a visible leadership presence at the Front End and throughout the store.
• Respond to customer questions, concerns, and service issues professionally.
• Monitor checkout flow and adjust staffing based on customer traffic and business needs.
• Supervise, train, schedule, coach, and develop Front End employees.
• Coordinate breaks, call-in coverage, and daily Front End assignments.
• Oversee cash-handling procedures, register accountability, refunds, and other Front End controls.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly staffed checkout and customer-service areas.
• Recognize strong employee performance and address service or performance concerns promptly.
• Support opening, closing, and Manager-on-Duty responsibilities as scheduled.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and communication with candidates throughout the process.
• Track open positions, candidate progress, and hiring results.
