Job summary

Food Lion Saint George, SC is seeking a friendly Front End Associate to deliver fast, accurate service and greet customers by name when possible. You will assist the Customer Service Manager and support cash handling, bagging, and to-go orders as needed.

You must be able to stand for long periods, lift light items, and follow safety and cash procedures. A high school diploma is preferred, and excellent communication skills are essential to create a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly service and greet customers by name when possible.
• Unload groceries from cart to belt and assist with bagging.
• Handle payment transactions and operate the cash register.
• Follow cash handling, refunds, and overring procedures.
• Assist customers with Food Lion To-Go orders when applicable.
• Maintain neat, clean front-end area and stock supplies.
