Location: Field-Based – local to Omaha, NE

Position Summary

The Customer Service Engineer is responsible for providing field-based technical service and support for industrial printing and coding equipment. This position works directly with customers to diagnose and resolve equipment issues, perform preventative maintenance, provide technical training, and maximize equipment uptime.

  • Travel to customer and vendor locations throughout the assigned territory, with occasional travel to other areas of the United States.
  • Provide onsite field service, installation support, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of industrial printing and coding equipment.
  • Diagnose technical and system-related issues and implement effective solutions at customer locations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with equipment specifications and customer production schedules.
  • Provide onsite training to customers on equipment operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Provide telephone and remote technical support, including participation in a rotational after-hours, weekend, and holiday on-call schedule.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships focused on satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnership.
  • Proactively identify customer needs and take appropriate action to address issues before they escalated.
  • Manage customer service issues from initial identification through resolution and provide timely follow-up and feedback.
  • Communicate product capabilities, features, benefits, service offerings, and aftermarket solutions to customers.
  • Identify opportunities to engage additional internal resources and coordinate with sales and other departments as appropriate.
  • Collaborate closely with sales and internal teams to develop solutions that meet customer needs and deliver value.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to technical questions and requests from both internal and external customers.
  • Provide technical guidance regarding equipment capabilities, integration, and fundamental system functionality.
  • Maintain accurate equipment, parts, service, and inventory records.
  • Manage field parts inventory and ensure accurate tracking of equipment and installed systems.
  • Represent the organization professionally and positively in all customer interactions.
  • Participate in department and company meetings and contribute to ongoing team and organizational development.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers, sales teams, vendors, and internal support groups.
Education & Experience
  • Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent military technical training and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related field service, equipment maintenance, technical support, or troubleshooting experience preferred or equivalent military technical training and experience will be considered.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory and periodically throughout the United States
