Job summary

Blarney Castle Oil is seeking a part-time store associate to deliver friendly service at the register and deli area. You will assist customers, handle cash, and follow safety procedures in line with company standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Training will cover food handling and promotional programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; candidates with retail experience and a good work record will be considered.
• Good interpersonal skills are necessary to connect with customers and provide information accurately and courteously.
• Basic math skills are necessary to handle cash transactions, calculate change, volume sales, and tax percentages.
• Must read and apply company procedure documents.
• Must work in a team environment and follow directions from management.
• Must monitor activity at gas pumps and within the store.
• Ability to operate microwaves, small ovens and other kitchen equipment.
• Ability to perform responsibilities under stress while staying calm during high volume periods.

Responsibilities

• Display a customer comes first attitude with immediate and undivided attention.
• Actively participate in Company sales promotions and programs.
• Complete company-sponsored training and required updates within specified periods.
• Complete specialized training on food preparation, handling and storage.
• Know promotions and suggest items to increase sales.
• Receive financial payments and provide correct change.
• Operate cash register, card scanners, and other sales devices.
• Monitor gas pumps for safe operation and accurate transactions.
• Prepare deli orders accurately and on time.
• Follow Serve-Safe and portion control standards and recipes.
