Job summary

Blarney Castle Oil is hiring for a part-time C-Store team member who will greet customers, handle transactions, and assist at the deli. You will work in a fast-paced environment, follow safety standards, and help achieve store objectives while delivering friendly service.

Responsibilities include cash handling, operating the register, stocking, and supporting gas pumps. Must read and follow company procedures and work well in a team, under supervision from the assistant and store managers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; retail experience considered.
• Strong interpersonal skills to assist customers.
• Basic math for cash handling, calculating change, and tax.
• Ability to read and apply company procedure documents.
• Team player able to follow directions from management.
• Operate microwaves, ovens and other kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work under stress during peak times.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate attention to every customer.
• Participate in promotions and programs.
• Complete company-sponsored training within set periods.
• Complete specialized training on food preparation, handling and storage.
• Know promotions and suggest them to customers to increase sales.
• Receive payments and give change; operate the cash register.
• Monitor gas pumps and ensure safe fueling and accurate transactions.
• Prepare deli orders and ensure proper food handling and waste control.
• Read data on registers and procedure documents; maintain temperature logs.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods; work in coolers when needed.
