Qualifications

• High school diploma or better.
• Less than 3 years in the field or related area.
• Ability to read technical manuals.
• Ability to interpret exploded diagrams of mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to troubleshoot and identify complex mechanical problems.
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills to maintain motivation and confidence among employees and customers.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Processes requests for quotes and informs customer of unit prices, shipping date, delays, and needed information.
• Ascertains and verifies credit rating of customer and applies to quotation or order.
• Enters customer counter/service orders and distributes copies to departments.
• Computes price, discount, and shipping charges as required.
• Initiates purchase requisitions and informs purchasing of back orders or special needs.
• Confers with production, sales, shipping, warehouse, or carriers to expedite shipments.
• Follows up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates.
• Resolves customer complaints within limits of authority.
• Reads exploded diagrams and assists in packing/labeling decisions.
