Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional service in a high call-volume environment. Responsibilities include quoting rates, assisting with Shipments, and supporting colleagues across the service center.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in transportation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AS400 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; AS400 experience preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple requests and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and respond to emails in a courteous and timely manner.
• Provide rate quotes, sales bids, status of shipments, and assist customers with Bill of Lading and labeling freight.
• Respond to customer issues and questions promptly.
• Support internal and external customers with OD's Service 2.0 initiatives.
• Assist with general office duties such as mailing, filing and copying.
• Scan documents (Bills of Lading, Delivery Receipts, permits) into the system.

This role will successfully provide exceptional customer service duties in the service center, as well as support to other members of Old Dominion in a fast-paced high call volume environment.

Responsibilities:

• Answer phones and respond to emails in a courteous and timely manner
• Perform general customer service by giving rate quotes, sales bids, status of shipments, helping customer correctly fill out a Bill of Lading and label freight, etc.
• Respond to customer issues and questions in a timely manner
• Provide Service 2.OD to internal and external customers
• As needed, may assist with general office duties such as mailing, filing and copying
• Scan documents such as Bill of Ladings, Delivery Receipts, permits and other documents into the computer system

Compensation Range:

Compensation Range: The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and state/local wage requirements. $19.29 - $23.43
