Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. in California is hiring a Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional service in our service center and support OD teammates in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

The successful candidate will handle calls and emails, quote rates, assist with Bill of Lading forms, and help with general office duties. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and MS Office/AS400 skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in the transportation industry.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• AS400 experience preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple requests and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated aptitude for quickly learning new systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and respond to emails in a courteous and timely manner
• Perform general customer service by giving rate quotes, sales bids, status of shipments, helping customer correctly fill out a Bill of Lading and label freight, etc.
• Respond to customer issues and questions in a timely manner
• Provide Service 2.OD to internal and external customers
• As needed, may assist with general office duties such as mailing, filing and copying
• Scan documents such as Bill of Ladings, Delivery Receipts, permits and other documents into the computer system

Old Dominion Freight Line is currently recruiting for a Customer Service Representative to join our OD Family Culture. The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and state/local wage requirements. $22.03 - $26.78

Working Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Working Shift: Shift and hours to be determined. Work days/shifts may change based on scheduling and business needs and are provided as guidelines at the time of posting.
