Job summary

Ace-Hardware in Dallas is seeking a Customer Service Associate - Cashier to greet customers and direct them throughout their visit. You will provide an amazing checkout experience, processing purchases quickly and accurately using our POS system, while emulating the Ace Helpful Way.

The role requires a friendly, service-oriented approach, with prior retail cashier or customer service experience preferred. This position supports part-time hours with evenings, weekends and holidays as needed to

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Retail experience in cashier, sales, or back office.
• Friendly, service-oriented with a can-do attitude.
• Knowledge of retail computer systems; MS Word and Excel a plus.
• Ability to operate POS and process transactions accurately.
• Strong communication with customers and teammates.
• Team player with willingness to learn and adapt.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with multi-tasking ability.
• Able to work part-time with flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct customers as they enter the store.
• Provide a fast, friendly checkout experience using the POS system.
• Process transactions accurately and balance cash drawer.
• Encourage Ace Rewards sign-ups when appropriate.
• Respond to customer questions and resolve issues courteously.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions and advertisements.
• Keep register area tidy and organized; assist with housekeeping standards.
• Assist with restocking, stocking shelves, and merchandising tasks as needed.
• Perform tasks assigned by store management.
