Job summary

Vision Ace Hardware is seeking friendly cashiers who can provide helpful service to customers in a busy retail setting. You will operate the POS, assist shoppers, and promote Ace Rewards during every transaction.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register (POS) with accuracy and efficiency.
• Handle merchandise returns and exchanges promptly.
• Ask customers about Ace Rewards and invite them to join.
• Count and balance cash drawer before and after each shift, documenting cash and card payments.
• Address customer complaints positively and escalate to management when needed.

Cashiers exemplify the foundation of our service to each customer as they enter and leave our store.

Cashier responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Operate cash register (POS) with accuracy and efficiency.
• Handle merchandise returns and exchanges quickly and efficiently.
• Ask each customer for their Ace Rewards card or be able to explain the program and invite them to join.
• Count the cash drawer to verify accuracy before each shift, and balance the drawer at the end of the shift, documenting checks, cash, and credit cards.
• Address customer complaints in a positive manner and involve store management when necessary.
