Job summary

Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital in Honolulu, HI is seeking a part-time Cashier to join the Front End team. You will provide friendly customer service and operate the cash register for diverse items.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, assisting with purchases, bagging, balance of the register, and processing payments. A high school diploma or GED and being 18+ are required. This on-site role is fast-paced and emphasizes accuracy and courtesy.

Qualifications

High school / Secondary school diploma or GED.
Must be 18 years of age to ring register per company policy.
Basic math and cash handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers during transactions.
Assist customers while ringing up/weighing items.
Bag groceries efficiently and use minimal bags.
Check bottom of the basket.
Verify and balance the register at shift start and end.
Accept/verify/process payments (cash, credit, debit, EBT, checks).
Verify/Process WIC checks, purchase orders, merchandise certificates and coupons.
Check IDs for tobacco/liquor purchases and card/check payments.
Maintain register accuracy and price integrity.
Refill bag wells and keep front-end area clean and organized.
Perform courtesy clerk duties.
Other duties as assigned by the manager.
