Qualifications

• High school / Secondary school diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age to ring register per company policy.
• Basic mathematical knowledge and cash handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers during transactions.
• Assist customers while ringing up/weighing items for purchase.
• Bag groceries using the least number of bags.
• Verify/balance register till at the beginning and end of shift.
• Accept/Verify/Process payment from customer (cash, credit, debit, EBT, check).
• Verify/Process WIC checks, purchase orders, merchandise certificates and coupons.
• Check identification for tobacco and liquor purchases per procedures.
• Maintain register accuracy and price integrity.
• Refill bag wells and keep front end clean and organized.
• Perform duties of a courtesy clerk.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
