Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures and math.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases.
• Handle exchanges, returns, and complaints effectively.
• Assist with transactions and resolve cash register or tender issues.
• Greet customers and create a friendly, positive interaction throughout checkout.
• Be outgoing and engaging; enjoy working with people.
• Process monetary transactions (cash, checks, gift cards, credit/debit).
• Promote Extended Protection Policy for eligible items.
• Communicate with Manager on Duty about out-of-stock products at checkout and entrances.
• Remain knowledgeable about store and assist with customer questions.
• Restock items and keep assigned area presentable.
