Job summary

Smart & Final is hiring a Service Clerk for the 308 Pomona location. Start rate is $18.50 per hour. You will assist customers, manage carts, check prices, and help keep the store clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Read and write English, interact with the general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings to customers and colleagues.
• Apply common sense understanding to follow detailed but uncomplicated instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain carts and assist customers with purchases and loading to their cars.
• Check retail prices on shelves for the check stand personnel.
• Return merchandise to proper shelves and maintain aisle presentation.
• Monitor and clean entrances, restrooms, and general store areas as needed.
• Assist with parking lot duties and general store maintenance.
