Job summary

Smart & Final in Corona, CA is seeking a Service Clerk to join the 340 Corona store team. You will assist customers, organize carts, check prices, and help with loading purchases.

Starting rate is $16.90 per hour. The role emphasizes friendly customer service, community involvement, and efficient store operations. Physical tasks include lifting up to 60 pounds and maintaining cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Read and write English, interact with public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information to customers and employees.
• Follow detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Collect and organize shopping carts inside the store and from the parking lot.
• Assist customers with loading merchandise and vehicles.
• Check retail prices on shelves for check stand personnel.
• Return go backs to proper shelves and face merchandise.
• Maintain cleanliness of store entrance and surrounding areas.
• Ensure cleanliness of restrooms and restock as needed.
