Job description

Customer Experience

  • Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied).

Operations

  • Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
  • Recommends items for sale, including trade-up and/or companion items.
  • Handles transactions, including registering purchases, collecting cash, giving change, and processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
  • Maintains cleanliness and merchandising of counters and shelves, takes inventory, and maintains records. Checks in and prices merchandise as directed.
  • Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
  • Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
  • Constructs and maintains displays, including promotional and seasonal displays, and completes resets as directed.
  • Assists with food product placement, stock rotation, and restocking using FIFO method.
  • Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
  • Provides photo area services, including digital passport photos and promotional products.
  • Assumes web pick-up responsibilities, monitors orders, and delivers orders to customers.
  • Ensures store cleanliness and appearance.
  • Follows company policies and maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.
  • Completes assigned tasks and special projects as needed.

Training & Personal Development

  • Attends training sessions and completes required PPLs as requested.

Basic Qualifications

  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least six months of retail experience preferred.
  • Prior Walgreens work experience preferred.
