Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or companion products.
- Processes transactions at the cash register, including collecting cash, giving change, handling voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, takes inventory, and checks in and prices merchandise as directed.
- Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains promotional displays and completes resets as directed.
- Assists with food product placement and stock rotation following store policies.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides photo services, including digital passport photos, poster prints, and promotional products.
- Handles web order pickups, monitors orders, and delivers them to customers.
- Ensures store cleanliness and appearance, and maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Completes assigned tasks and special projects as needed.
Training & Personal Development
- Attends training sessions and completes required PPLs as directed by management or corporate.
Basic Qualifications
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least six months of retail experience preferred.
- Prior experience working with Walgreens is a plus.
