Job summary

Regency Furniture in Langley Park, MD is seeking a Temporary Customer Service Representative to join our team and support order processing and front-desk operations.

You will enter customer orders, process payments, handle daily deposits, answer calls, schedule deliveries, and assist with showroom displays while maintaining accurate records and delivering friendly service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
• Strong cash handling skills.
• Ability to calculate figures including discounts, percentages, commissions, and related transactions.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to use sound judgment while responding to customer or vendor inquiries.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly.
• Reliable and dependable with strong attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Bilingual candidates are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Enter customer orders into the system accurately and completely.
• Process payments to proper accounts.
• Maintain security of cash and other legal tenders.
• Prepare daily deposits in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Answer incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Schedule deliveries that are convenient for customers and in compliance with company procedures.
• Maintain open orders and communicate order status with customers.
• Complete daily reporting requirements.
• Assist with showroom displays, tagging, and maintaining a customer-friendly showroom appearance.
• Support the Office Manager with additional duties as needed.
• Provide additional administrative and customer service support as assigned during the temporary assignment.
