Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Courtesy Clerk to support customers from greeting at the door to assisting with purchases and keeping the store clean and welcoming. This hourly role emphasizes friendly service, teamwork, and a willingness to work nights and weekends as needed.

You will handle stocking, packaging, cart management, and basic cleaning while assisting in other departments as required. Training is provided and safety standards are followed.

Qualifications

• No formal education or experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks during shifts.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and helping them as needed.
• Package customer purchases and assist with transporting them to their vehicle.
• Bring carts in from the parking lot and manage cart corrals throughout the shift.
• Clean registers, restrooms, break room and backroom; sweep and mop floors as needed.
• Stock, face, and rotate merchandise; understand shelf tags and locations.
• Check prices and maintain front-end supplies such as bags and receipt paper.
• Deliver products to customers and assist in other departments as requested.
