Job summary

Happy State Bank in Amarillo, TX seeks a Customer Service Representative I to help retain customers and open new deposit accounts. You will promote bank products, cross-sell services, and support branch goals while ensuring regulatory compliance and excellent service.

The role may involve teller duties and basic loan support as needed. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, with 12–18 months of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school or GED with on-the-job education in a specific skill area.
• 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Some outside banking related courses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Open new accounts including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs and other products offered by the bank.
• Complies with all applicable regulations, policies and procedures.
• Assess customer needs and cross sell appropriate products and services.
• Functions as Teller, Sr. Teller or Teller Supervisor as needed.
• Supports attainment of branch goals.
• Refers new business to company subsidiaries such as insurance, mortgage and brokerage.
• Resolve customer concerns and ensure effective and long term problem resolution.
• Develops and builds customer loyalty.
• Follows up on referrals made by other team members.
• Assists with loan origination and processing as needed.
• Answers customer inquiries relating to products, rates and services.
• Provides ancillary services such as notary services.
