Bassett Furniture Industries, Inc. seeks a Customer Service Representative to act as a liaison between customers and our upholstery/wood manufacturing plants at our Upholstery headquarters in Newton, NC.

The role requires strong product knowledge and adherence to company policies to provide quick, accurate assistance to customers. Responsibilities include answering product problems and order status questions, maintaining professionalism with clients, and processing orders, repairs, and returns.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience in furniture preferred
• High school diploma/GED required (Associate degree in a business related field preferred)
• Ability to remain cool headed, professional and courteous with customers at all times
• Ability to communicate effectively with management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Answer product problems, service questions and general concerns.

• Work with the management team to stay updated on product knowledge and check if there is a question about the status of an order.

Overview

The Customer Service Representative will act as a liaison between the customer and the manufacturing plants. We need an enthusiastic and articulate individual who can listen to each customer service issue and offer a solution. The successful associate will have a strong command of the Company’s customer service policies and be well trained in product knowledge, which is critical for offering quick and accurate assistance to customers. This position is based at our Upholstery headquarters in Newton, NC.
