Job summary

Symbiotic Services is seeking experienced Inside Upholsterers for a furniture manufacturing opportunity in Conover, NC. This full-time position offers consistent 40–45-hour workweeks with no Saturday schedule. Overtime may be required depending on production needs.

The Inside Upholsterer is responsible for upholstering, repairing, and replacing upholstery on high-end residential furniture with hands-on craftsmanship using fabric and leather and a range of tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Inside Furniture Upholstery experience required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to work a full-time schedule.
• Flexibility to work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Upholster, repair, and replace upholstery on high-end household furniture.
• Fit, install, and securely attach fabric or leather to wooden furniture frames.
• Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, staple guns, and other production equipment.
• Align materials and furniture components to ensure accurate assembly and a quality finished product.
• Maintain high standards of craftsmanship, appearance, and quality.
• Meet established production requirements in a manufacturing environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM; occasional Fridays, 6:00 AM–10:00 AM

Position Summary

The Inside Upholsterer is responsible for upholstering, repairing, and replacing upholstery on high-end residential furniture. This role requires significant hands‑on furniture upholstery experience, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work with fabric and leather using manual and powered tools.

Primary Responsibilities

• Upholster, repair, and replace upholstery on high-end household furniture.

• Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, staple guns, and other production equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform repetitive, hands‑on upholstery work throughout the shift.
  
• No regularly scheduled Saturdays.
