Job summary

REI Co-op is seeking a Customer Research Analyst to guide decisions with actionable customer insights. You will lead qualitative and quantitative research, translating findings into practical recommendations and representing the customer in cross-functional decisions.

Collaborating with teams across REI and external vendors, you will deepen customer knowledge, reduce risk in decisions, and shape customer-centered experiences.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with primary research methods (qualitative & quantitative).
  • Experience managing research projects from design to presentation.
  • Experience with research vendors and survey platforms such as Qualtrics or similar.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to tailor messages for audiences.

Job description

Overview

REI Co-op is looking for a Customer Research Analyst to help teams make informed choices through clear and useful customer insights. In this role, you will plan and lead both qualitative and quantitative research. You will turn your findings into practical recommendations and represent the customer in decisions across the co-op. You will work with teams across the business and with outside research vendors. Your work will help REI deepen its customer knowledge, reduce risk in business decisions, and create customer-focused experiences.

Responsibilities And Qualifications
  • Design, manage, and analyze qualitative and quantitative research from planning through final presentation.
  • Turn findings into clear insights and recommendations that support co-op business goals and customer needs.
  • Manage research tools and processes, including survey platforms, statistical tools, data collection, and quality checks.
  • Partner with teams across REI and co-op brands to define research needs, coordinate projects, and apply insights to decisions.
  • Build and manage vendor relationships, including project scope, fieldwork, analysis, and delivery.
  • Share research methods and findings in ways that help teams understand and advocate for co-op customers.
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of experience with primary research methods, including qualitative and quantitative research, sampling, survey design, data quality, analysis, and basic statistics. Vendor side research preferred.
  • Experience managing research projects through design, survey programming, data collection, analysis, and presentation.
  • Experience working with research vendors and survey platforms such as Qualtrics or similar tools.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain findings and tailor messages for different audiences.
  • Working knowledge of statistical methods and Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience with SPSS, Tableau, or similar tools is preferred.
  • You bring a curious and practical approach to solving problems. You can organize priorities, meet deadlines, keep partners informed, and work both on your own and with teams across the co-op. You use sound judgment, welcome different points of view, and keep customer needs at the center of your work.

Pay Range

$64,600.00 - $103,500.00 per year
