First Merchants Bank is seeking a Customer Relationship Representative in Rochester, MI to deliver high-quality service and accurately process banking transactions while guiding customers to products that meet their financial needs.

The role supports sales goals, protects customer privacy, and participates in ongoing training to maintain compliance and service excellence. Prior banking experience and NMLS/S.A.F.E. Act familiarity are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 6+ months of experience selling products or services.
• 1 year of sales, banking and/or related experience.
• S.A.F.E. Act Registration at time of employment through NMLS (must be met within 3 months of hire).
• Notary Public designation is required/preferred.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• In-depth knowledge of products/services offered by the bank.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by responding to customer requests for banking transactions and inquiries.
• Balance cash, daily transactions, vault and ATM; ensure compliance and reporting.
• Sell bank products and make referrals to meet sales goals.
• Train, coach and guide staff with operational and sales skills; participate in training sessions.
• Assist in banking center operations and ensure policies and procedures are followed.
