Job summary

Amphenol Corporation’s Cable Backplane Solutions team in Houston, TX is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to act as the technical interface between customers and internal teams. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related field.
• 3–7+ years in quality engineering or customer-facing roles with CAPA ownership.
• Proven expertise in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with quality tools (Minitab/JMP, Excel/Power Query).

Responsibilities

• Lead customer issue resolution and CAPA lifecycle.
• Define SLAs/SLOs and monitor performance.
• Collaborate with Design/Engineering and Manufacturing/Operations.
• Maintain risk artifacts (FMEA, Control Plans, APQP) and change control.
• Build dashboards for DPPM/PPM, defect trends, and scorecards.
• Lead Gemba walks and teach Six Sigma methods using DMAIC.
