Job summary

Genesis10 is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer for a direct hire with a Global Manufacturing Company in Oak Creek, WI. You will be the primary liaison for customer quality, drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.

You will lead customer quality issue resolution, manage audits, and coordinate with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and CSRs. Travel 10-15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience driving cross-functional teams and collaborating across functions.
• Strong judgment and data-driven decision making for risk assessment.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 and customer/supplier audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer quality issue resolution with QMS compliance and RCA ownership.
• Escalate high severity customer issues to protect satisfaction.
• Manage claims and complaints using 8D, 5 Whys, or Fishbone.
• Ensure evidence-based root causes and corrective actions address systemic failures.
• Communicate status, risks, and plans clearly to manage expectations.
• Lead customer audits with QA Manager support.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, process engineering, and supply chain to implement improvements.
• Identify potential quality risks and coordinate preventive actions.
• Document and integrate all customer-specific requirements into internal processes.
• Promote compliance with CSRs and IATF standards.

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Customer Quality Engineer for a direct hire opportunity with a Global Manufacturing Company located in Oak Creek, WI. Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 per year

As the Customer Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring customer quality requirements are met and for leading the resolution of customer quality issues across the product lifecycle. You will serve as the primary quality liaison between customers and internal cross-functional teams, driving root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is critical in maintaining customer satisfaction, compliance with quality standards, and sustained product and process performance.

Responsibilities:

• Lead customer quality issue resolution, including driving compliance to the QMS and owning final response and closure of RCA
• Act as the escalation point for high severity or critical customer issues to support overall customer satisfaction
• Manage customer claims, quality concerns and complaints by ensuring timely containment, RCA, PA verification, response and closure using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, or Fishbone
• Ensure root causes are evidence-based and corrective and preventative actions address systemic failure modes
• Provide clear, timely, and professional communication regarding issue status, risks, and resolution plans to manage customer expectations
• Lead customer audits with support of the QA Manager
• Build and sustain collaborative working relationships with customer plant leadership and engineering organizations
• Proactively identify potential quality risks and coordinate preventive actions
• Ensure all customer specific requirements are understood, documented, and integrated into internal processes
• Promote compliance with applicable quality management system requirements, including CSRs and IATF standards
• Partner with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Supply Chain, and other teams to resolve issues and implement improvements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Experience driving cross-functional teams without direct authority while creating an atmosphere of collaboration and respect
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to evaluate data and assess risk
• Automotive industry and coatings experience including a working knowledge of IATF 16949
• Experience supporting customer and third-party audits
• Ability to work in an office and manufacturing floor environment
• Willingness for 10-15% regional travel to customer or supplier locations

Pay range: $100,000 - $120,000 per year
