HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Act as the voice of the customer for all quality-related issues for accessory lighting products.
  • Manage and respond to customer complaints, returns, and warranty claims using industry-standard tools (e.g., 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone).
  • Lead and coordinate containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for customer-reported issues.
  • Interface with OEM and Tier 1 customers, attending quality reviews, audits, and on-site support when required.
  • Maintain and update customer portals with documentation including PPAPs, control plans, and quality alerts.
  • Track and analyze customer quality metrics (e.g., PPM, RMA, SCAR status) and develop action plans for improvement.
  • Support APQP and PPAP activities for new product launches and engineering changes.
  • Participate in internal audits, layered process audits, and customer audits.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, design, and supplier quality teams to ensure robust product quality from concept to production.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
YOUR KEY ATTRIBUTES
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing quality role in the automotive industry, preferably with lighting or plastic injection molded components.
  • Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and AIAG core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
  • Proficient in problem-solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with customer quality portals (e.g., Tesla, BMW, Ford, Stellantis, etc.).
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (up to 10%
  • Experience with automotive lighting systems or accessory products preferred.
  • Certifications such as CQE, Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt are a plus.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T, plastic injection molding, and LED lighting assemblies preferred.
