Job summary

Rebo Lighting & Electronics, LLC in Sparta, TN is seeking a 1st Shift Production Automation Team Lead to drive automated assembly lines and mentor operators. You will oversee daily production, ensure quality and safety, and partner with cross-functional teams to implement improvements.

You have hands-on experience in manufacturing, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to train staff while maintaining productivity and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Good computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Previous production experience is required.
• Willingness to work overtime including weekends.
• Able to read and comprehend written and oral instructions.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and inspect the production of automotive lighting products, reinspecting work as needed.
• Assist the supervisor and lead multiple employees with a focus on the automation lines.
• Work closely with support groups and lead 6s projects.
• Train existing/new employees to the highest quality standards while ensuring safety requirements are met.
• Work in the Plex system and ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate process improvements that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Be flexible, with minimal supervision, and able to fill in for the supervisor as needed.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Assemble and inspect the production of automotive lighting products, reinspecting work as needed.
• Assist the supervisor and lead multiple employees with a focus on the automation lines.
• Work closely with support groups and lead 6s projects.
• Train existing/new employees to the highest quality standards possible by leading by example and ensuring safety requirements are met at all times.
• Work in PLEX and ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards while adhering to production specifications and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate process improvements that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Work under minimal supervision from the shift supervisor or management, take initiative, maintain housekeeping standards, and assist with other tasks as needed.
• This may include:
  • Scheduling OT.
  • Assigning employes to different positions to ensure maximum output.
  • Fill in for the supervisor as needed.
  • Be flexible and make changes quickly to make sure the customer is always taken care of.
  • All other duties as directed by the company.

YOUR KEY ATTRIBUTES

• You have a High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Must have good computer skills and experience with Microsoft office; Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
• Previous production experience is required.
• You’re comfortable with working overtime as needed, including weekends when necessary.
• You’re able to read and comprehend written and oral instructions.
• You have basic math skills.
• You find new and effective ways to streamline processes for maximum efficiency without cutting corners on safety and quality.
• You’re organized, highly efficient and know how to develop specific goals and prioritize with minimal supervision.
• You have excellent dexterity with high attention to detail to efficiently make the product within customer specs the first time.
• You can perform the essential functions of the job which at times may include for example lifting up to 30 lbs. and standing for long periods of time.
