Job summary

Rebo Lighting & Electronics, LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Tennessee. You will help design and optimize manufacturing methods, implement automation, and lead capital projects to drive efficiency, quality, and cost reduction in lighting systems for automotive applications.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, participate in QRQC analysis, and ensure safe, reliable production with continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical and/or Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering and automation.
  • Familiarity with QRQC / 4M1E / PDCA / 5WHY / 5W2H / 8D.
  • Proficiency with FMEA, SPC, DOE, MSA and other process engineering methods.
  • Experience with automotive assembly processes and injection molding is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop methods, standard operating instructions, tooling and techniques to reduce setup time and improve efficiency.
  • Lead quick response on equipment/process failures to meet labor efficiency targets.
  • Participate in daily QRQC to analyze variations and improve quality control capability.
  • Modify processes to increase automation, reliability and safety while reducing waste.
  • Manage capital projects from equipment specs to installation and supplier management.
  • Collaborate on process sign-off audits for new equipment and project launches.
  • Maintain equipment drawings and layouts for production.
  • Review TPM/PM programs to maximize machinery uptime.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
  • Develop methods, Standard Operating Instruction, tooling and techniques to continuously reduce the time and effort involved in setting-up, changing over and operations of manufacturing equipment.
  • Lead on daily quick response on equipment/process failures resolution to achieve labor efficiency target, equipment changes and MBOM change implementation.
  • Participate in daily QRQC to analyze the equipment, material, man, method variation impacting quality loss with quality team, achieving FTT targe, developing poka-yoke and inspection process to improve quality control capability.
  • Modify manufacturing processes with more automation, reliability improvement, waste elimination and layout optimization for safety improvement, quality improvement, cost reduction, or design changes to impro.
  • Manage capital projects, including development of equipment specification, coordination of equipment runoffs, installation of equipment, and management of equipment suppliers.
  • Participate PSO (Process Sign Off) audit for new equipment, and work with AME to launch new projects on time on quality on cost.
  • Updates and maintains equipment drawings for production and equipment, including layouts.
  • Review, recommend and coordinate TPM, PM, Proactive Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance Programs to prevent equipment failures and maximize machinery uptime.
  • Work closely with all levels of the organization to improve upon manufacturing machinery and process improvements.
  • Understands significant environmental aspects of the job and the related operational controls.
  • All other assignments deemed necessary by Supervisor.
YOUR KEY ATTRIBUTES
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical and/or Industrial Engineering, or related degree.
  • 3 or more years of experience in manufacturing engineering and automation
  • Knowledge of QRQC / 4M1E / PDCA / 5WHY / 5W2H / 8D
  • Proficient in FMEA, SPC, DOE, MSA and other common process engineering methods and tools
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills.
  • Automotive, assembly process, injection molding experience preferred.
