Job summary

U-Haul is seeking friendly, energetic individuals for U-Box Warehouse Worker roles in Staten Island, NY. You will ensure customer satisfaction by providing courteous service and handling deliveries with forklift equipment.

Key duties include loading/unloading containers, assisting customers, conducting inspections, and processing delivery documentation. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required, with training provided for forklift operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
• Adhere to local, state and federal driving regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate an 8,000-lb propane forklift or truck-mounted forklift (training provided).
• Load and unload storage containers onto and off truck beds for delivery to/from a storage facility.
• Provide customer assistance, including the sale of support items and use of online dispatch and rental systems.
• Perform customer-ready inspections of U-Box containers prior to dispatch and upon return.
• Prepare, receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pickup of goods.
• Ensure the warehouse storage facility is clean, dry and secure.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
