Job summary

Old Second National Bank is seeking a Teller to deliver frontline customer service, handle deposits and withdrawals, balance a cash drawer, and refer Retail Banking products as appropriate. The role requires on-site work and adherence to bank policies, with opportunities to participate in in-house training sessions and sales referrals.

Base pay ranges in the published hourly spectrum, with a history of benefits and a stable work schedule Monday through Saturday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of related experience (cash handling, customer service, office, etc.).
• Must work onsite to perform responsibilities of this position.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality, personalized customer service (greeting/closing, uses customer name, telephone etiquette, error resolutions, and written communications).
• Processes checking and savings deposits/withdrawals by adhering to policies and procedures including endorsements, narrability of item, ID validation, and funds availability.
• Processes payments and orders (loan payments, real estate tax payments, money orders, cashier's checks) according to policy."
• Counts, proves, and packages currency; balances cash drawer and researches teller differences within the timeframe.
• Uses technology to complete customer transactions accurately.
• Participates in sales referral goals through meeting individual targets.
• Participates in in-house training sessions on sales, customer service, policies, procedures, compliance, product knowledge, and bank systems.
• Flexibility to float to other branches and work branch hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:30pm; Sat 8:30am-1:00pm.
